Here are some pics of Isabella's first trip to the zoo. My class takes a field trip to the San Antonio Zoo every year and Ed and Isabella met me there. We had fun and all of my students enjoyed seeing her.

"Practicing My Walk"
For about a week Isabella has been getting brave and she can let go and stand on her own for a bit. This past Monday she took about three steps to our neighbor. Since then she continues to take about 3 steps and then falls. The funny thing is when she falls she cracks up laughing, throws her feet in the air and rolls over to get back up. It cracks us up! Here is some video of her practicing with her walker outside and a random video of her rolling the ball. I will trie to get some video this weekend of her taking some steps.

Beach Baby!
A couple of weekends ago we took Isabella to visit Grandma and Grandpa Montañez in Brownsville, Which is about a 20 to 30 minute drive from South Padre Island. Since we were so close we took Isabella to the beach for the very first time. She had a blast!!
When we first got there I put her on a blanket and gave her some toys to play with. Ed and I watched her waiting to see when she would get brave enough to crawl off the blanket. It didn't take long. She loved being on the sand and even loved to eat the sand more. She was so funny because she would pick up handfuls of sand and try to take it straight to her mouth. Of course we told her that sand was not people food. Now only if she would eat her people food this way we would be set.
After playing in the sand for a bit we took her to the water to let her splash her feet. She had fun doing this also. She even got mad at me when a wave came a little to high and I lifted her out of the water.
Here are some pictures from the weekend at the beach and other great ones of our fun trip to the valley, where we also visited the Brownsville Children's museum.

So Smart!
I found this article. If this is true, Isabella is going to be a geniuse. She kept me sick from day one to the final day: morning, day and night!

Growing up to fast!
Dear Isabella,
Please slow down, you are growing up to fast!
Love You,
Mommy & Papa
I am sitting here listening to music and the song, "Your Gonna Miss This," by Trace Adkins comes on. My eyes just start welling up with tears because I can not believe Isa is 9 months already. I love watching all the new things she can do, but I already miss the tiny moments of the past. I know I can never get this time back with her and I need to take advantage of every
moment I have with her. She is such a blessing to us and Ed and I often talk about we are always worried that we have not done enough or worry we are going to regret not doing something with her. I know these are things every parent thinks about I just thought I'd say them out loud.
You can never imagine how much love you can have for one person until you have a child! Ed and I often say sometimes looking at her or a picture of her we get so overwhelmed with love for her we do not know what to do with it.
Maybe 16 year from now when, she is wishing she had cooler parents she will read this and know how much we really do love her!
OK, enough gushing. Thanks for letting me share!
